Obscure Fairy Tales

I read a lot of obscure fairy tales while I was researching my novels Into the Wild and Out of the Wild. Many of the tales are so fantastically random that I thought they deserved a day in the sun. So I started a recurring segment on my blog to highlight these obscure (and sometimes not-so-obscure) fairy tales. Each post consists of an abridged retelling along with my running commentary. Here are the tales that I've featured so far:
